PDF converter

Convert PDF to editable Word.

Turn text PDFs into editable DOCX files with reconstructed lines, paragraphs and page breaks. Scanned PDFs automatically fall back to OCR.

How PDF to Word conversion works

PDF files store text by visual position rather than as normal flowing paragraphs. SizeFix reads the text coordinates on each page, rebuilds lines in reading order, groups them into paragraphs, and creates an editable Word document. When a scanned PDF contains no embedded text, OCR is used to recover readable text.

What converts best?

Reports, letters, CVs and other single-column text documents usually convert best. Complex forms, dense tables, unusual fonts and multi-column magazine-style layouts can still require manual adjustment after conversion.

PDF to Word FAQs

Can I convert a scanned PDF?

Yes. SizeFix automatically attempts OCR when it cannot find embedded text.

Will the DOCX be editable?

Yes. The exported file is a standard editable Word DOCX. Layout fidelity varies with the complexity of the original PDF.

Does SizeFix flatten everything into one paragraph?

No. The converter rebuilds lines, paragraphs and page breaks using the positions of text in the PDF.
